Men’s Group ‘That Man Is You!’

Our Men’s Ministry at St. Aloysius (That Man Is You!) reconvenes on Saturday Feb 1, 2020 in the Church Hall.

This Catholic centric course honestly addresses the pressures and temptations that men face in our modern culture, especially those relating to their roles as husbands and fathers. The program harmonizes current social and medical science with the teachings of the Church and the wisdom of the saints to develop the vision of man fully alive!

There is no long-term commitment unless you wish. We meet at 6:30am every Saturday and we are wrapped up by 8:15am. There is Mass upstairs at that time if you wish to participate.  The desire to be a better man is the only requirement.

Please take the next 11-12 minutes to find out why other men have joined by clicking on the links below:    2:49 minutes       2:05 minutes       6:14 minutes

Additional Background on That Man Is You!

Founded by Steve Bollman in 2003, Paradisus Dei (Latin for the Paradise of God) is an organization of lay Catholics dedicated to discovering the superabundant joy of God within marriage and family life. By integrating the best in Catholic theology with the finest research from modern science, Paradisus Dei has developed the exciting, solid and inspirational program called, That Man is You! This once a week program helps men discover authentic male leadership to which they are called by Christ. As men begin to exercise their God-given duties and responsibilities as fathers and husbands, families can start to discover the superabundance of God within the context of marriage and family life as they grow together in faith and love.

That Man is You! program involves an interactive, multimedia format combining the best research from science with the teachings of the Catholic faith and the wisdom of the saints to develop the vision of a man fully alive. Each session of the program begins with gathering over a fellowship breakfast, then moves to a communal prayer, then the viewing of a video-taped teaching, followed by small group discussion and concludes with a prayer. This program provides men with a much needed venue and opportunity to share their faith with other men on their common journey of life, family and faith.

Paradisus Dei simply wishes every family to discover the joy of God’s abiding presence within their home and everyday family lives. Our message combines the best scientific research on the family, the teachings of Scripture and the wisdom of the great mystics.
